Have You Experienced the CBC
eCredit Complete User Interface?
If you missed our first installment in this series, you can find it by clicking here.
In this installment, we will discuss the many ways you can configure the eCredit Complete interface options and manage users.
Please note: You must have Supervisor access to see all available settings. Contact CBC Support for user and company settings not found here.
Let’s start by locating the Settings function. Click on your name in the upper right corner of the screen and select Settings.
The Options tab controls the system default options for the current user and provides various configuration options of the eCredit Complete interface.
It also provides the ability to reset disabled users and create new users. To reset a user, click the drop-down menu, select the disabled user, and create a new password. Passwords must be a minimum of eight characters and contain at least one number and one special character.
To create a new user, click on Create New User, select if the user will be a Basic user or Supervisor, and enter the necessary details. The default password will be the word "password" as it appears on the screen.
The Decisioning Engine is an optional product. If enabled, you can create up to four custom credit decision programs that are displayed at the top of a credit report. To enable the Decisioning Engine, contact CBC.
The Find Screen Setup allows you to customize the Find Screen display fields and layout. Depending on your user set up, you may have the Compliance View set by default. If you want to see the standard Find Screen, toggle the switch in the upper right corner of the Find Screen named Compliance View. You can easily switch between the standard and compliance view layouts.
Next, we will look at the Function Access tab.
Function Access is only available to users with Supervisor access. One user at a time or all users at once can be controlled from this screen. Click the Select User drop-down menu. All Users will be at the bottom.
In the Multi-Bureau Pull Setup and Multi-Pre-Qual Pull Setup, you can select (if enabled) to pull more than one bureau at a time by checking the desired box next to the bureau you want to include.
Function Access Control allows the Supervisor to adjust the various access control options in the eCredit Complete interface for each user. For more information on any of these settings, please contact CBC Support.
Choice Tables control the drop-down menus at the bottom of the Basic Information section on the Applicant screen.
Deal Status entries allow you to track the status of an applicant from start to finish. This is an important feature, especially when processing Adverse Action notices. CBC suggests keeping the Deal Status field current to ensure notices are sent to the appropriate applicants in the required amount of time, and they can also help to prevent producing notices that are not necessary. CBC can also send Adverse Action notices on your behalf (subscription required). Contact CBC for complete details.
Sales Manager, Source, and Salesperson tables are great for tracking and reporting analytics.
The Form Options tab controls credit application form defaults and other related options.
If enabled, you can provide multiple credit score disclosures on your Risk Based Pricing Credit Score Disclosure Exception notices. To enable multiple score disclosures, contact CBC.
Form Options provides the ability to control the type of default credit application and the option to quickly print an AA letter for the current applicant.
If you utilize CBC’s included credit applications, you can customize them here.
That will do it for this installment of CBC's eCredit Complete software interface overview.
Be sure to open and read our next installment coming soon, which will recap the remaining components of the Settings screen. We will highlight the very popular Report Scheduler and Compliance configuration tabs.
